Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN): IMC

We are seeking a skilled Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) to join our team. The selected candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a critical care setting.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 hours
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Orientation: Weekly
• Unit Size: 30 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:3

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Perform assessments and develop individual patient care plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units when necessary.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in an ICU or IMC setting.
• Travel experience is required.
• Proficient in electronic health record systems, preferably Medhost.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in critical care nursing.
• Willingness to take on call responsibilities as required.
