Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN): IMC
We are seeking a skilled Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) to join our team. The selected candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a critical care setting.
Position Details
- Shift: 3x12 hours
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Orientation: Weekly
- Unit Size: 30 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:3
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Perform assessments and develop individual patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units when necessary.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
Qualifications
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in an ICU or IMC setting.
- Travel experience is required.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems, preferably Medhost.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Ability to manage diverse patient needs including heart conditions, respiratory issues, and post-operative care.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in critical care nursing.
- Willingness to take on call responsibilities as required.
