Jr. Accountant (Korean/English Bilingual)

Assist month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing Manage comprehensive corporate finance, accounting, and closing activities for the project entity, while collaborating closely with site project members to oversee expense processing, progress billings/payments (milestone payments), and accounts receivable collection Prepare and assist consolidation reporting package Prepare cash flow statements and maintain weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts Prepare and analyze BS/PL account reconciliations. Quarterly BS/PL variance analysis Generate month-end closing reports including BS/PL, sales, GAAP, IFRS and deviation analysis Prepare reports detailing monthly expenses by cost center. Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS Support Financial Planning & Analysis Process activities including budgeting, forecasting, G&A expense analysis and operational performance reporting Manage Fixed Assets in SAP Assist local tax filing (property, sales, franchise, payroll tax) Assist intercompany transaction for Marketing & Procurement Division Assist with Financial Audit by preparing supporting documentations and responding to auditor requests Support tax audits and annual tax filings by preparing supporting documentation, responding to information requests, researching tax regulations and analyzing tax risks Implementation of financing process through communication with HQ, Banking Institutions and HQ subsidiaries Assist with TP (transfer pricing) work process, and prepare supporting documentation Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax regulations, research tax matters and assess associated business risks. Lease accounting (IFRS16) and analyze DD&A for each asset Assist the Finance & Accounting Manager in supervising Accountant I, Accountant II roles Serve as a liaison between Accounting & Project Management regarding man hour control Serve as a liaison between HQ Finance & Accounting and SE&AA Finance & Accounting, providing guidance on U.S accounting practices and tax matters Collaborate across departments, support management initiatives and contribute to team problem-solving and process improvements Ad hoc reporting QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 4-5 years of general accounting experience including performance of accounts payable (and receivable) and monthly close activities preferred. Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze P&L and Balance Sheet accounts. Experience completing routine account/bank reconciliations preferred. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. Must be proficient in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. BS in Business or Accounting degree preferred.
