Fund Accountant

Job Title

Assist in the calculation and review of daily NAVs prepared by an external fund administrator.

Support the Fund Controller in reviewing quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements prepared by the fund administrator.

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure audits and quarterly reviews are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Provide supporting documentation to external auditors for year-end audit requests.

Assist external tax accountants with the preparation of tax schedules and provide supporting documentation for year-end tax work.

Support the preparation and filing of all SEC and OTC regulatory filings in a timely and accurate manner.

Prepare internal daily and weekly management reports.

Assist in evaluating, documenting, and maintaining the company's accounting policies.

Support special projects and other key deliverables as needed.

Respond to investor inquiries and ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

14 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services.

Familiarity with investment company accounting and GAAP financial reporting.

Experience working with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax service providers.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems and fund accounting platforms a plus.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
