General Orthopedic Surgeon

A healthcare facility in Twin Falls is seeking a Locums General Orthopedic Surgery Physician to provide coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. This position offers the opportunity to manage acute orthopedic trauma cases while working with a collaborative surgical and emergency medicine team. The Orthopedic Surgeon will evaluate and manage patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries in both inpatient and emergency settings, performing operative and non-operative treatments. Practice Info Level III Trauma Center Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with traumatic orthopedic injuries in a Level III trauma center Perform operative and non-operative fracture management and related orthopedic procedures Provide consultations for emergency department and inpatient cases Participate in trauma call coverage as part of the orthopedic team Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including emergency medicine, trauma surgeons, and advanced practice providers Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high standards of patient safety and quality care Compensation $4050 Per Shift Generous (above market) hourly rate All travel arrangements provided and booked by the group, on top of the per shift rate Benefits Med-mal and tail insurance covered Personal locums consultant to manage credentialing and scheduling shifts Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred Eligible for Idaho medical licensure Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex trauma cases Excellent communication and teamwork skills
