Anatomic / Surgical Pathologist – Part Time / Acupath Laboratories, Inc. – Plainview, NY
\n \nAcupath Laboratories is a well-established and respected nationwide provider of specialized anatomic pathology services, focusing on areas like urology, gastroenterology, and hematology/oncology and a singular focus on client needs and a commitment to innovation and quality. Acupath offers a wide range of tests, including FISH testing for various cancers. We are based in Plainview, NY, and were founded in 1998.
\n \nPosition Overview
\n- \n
- Surgical pathology case sign-out (General surgical pathology, GI, GU, breast, biopsy, excision, and resection cases) \n
- Frozen section coverage \n
- Review may include screening and sign out cytopathology cases(non-gyn) \n
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance and performance improvement activities, departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed \n
- Work closely with the Medical Director and laboratory management team to ensure completion of cases within the required turnaround time (TAT) \n
- Direct collaboration with referring physicians \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- MD with Board Certification / Eligibility (AP/CP) \n
- NYS Medical License \n
- Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology required \n
- 3-5 years of experience preferred \n
Compensation
\n- \n
- Up to $170,000 (commensurate with experience & subspecialty) – Based on 20 hours / week \n
