Adjunct Faculty - INTDS 3300: Fabrication for Exhibition; Fall Semester 2026; In-Person, On-CampusNo Office LocationPart timeJR101701The OpportunityLesley University’s Department of Art & Design is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: INTDS 3300 - Fabrication for Exhibition; Fall Semester 2026; Tuesdays 1:15 pm - 5:00 pm; In-person, On-campus.Course Description:This course provides students across disciplines with practical experience in the development of exhibition-ready work and exposure to professional production techniques used by interdisciplinary artists. The course focuses intensively on exhibition fabrication and integrates transferable skills in artwork finishing, project management, and process management. Through hands-on production experience, students will develop the technical and organizational competencies required to bring creative projects from conception to exhibition.Qualities & CapabilitiesA successful candidate will have:MFA in Studio Arts (required); PhD or terminal degree (preferred)Minimum of two years teaching experience in Art History or Studio Art in a Visual Arts program at the undergraduate levelExperience and commitment to teaching and developing culturally responsive curriculumDemonstrated advanced studio competencies and fluency in technical, conceptual, medium-specific skills specified by the courseMust have experience with the following: Woodworking/sculpture/pedestal/ frame making, writing about art, vinyl design and cutting on Graphtec cutters, laser design and cutting on Trotec cutters, fine art materials handling, VCarve and Fusion 360/ShopbotWhy LesleyLocated in the heart of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Lesley University is highly regarded for its graduate and undergraduate programs in the human arts of education, the arts, and applied social sciences.
