Nursing Director, Telemetry


Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and experienced Nursing Director of Telemetry to join our partner, a leading medical center in San Antonio, TX. This is a key leadership opportunity for a dynamic nurse leader to plan, organize, and manage resources for a department on a twenty-four-hour basis. Position Overview


As the Nursing Director, you will hold comprehensive responsibility for all operational and clinical aspects of the Telemetry department(s). This includes managing the budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and overseeing the recruitment and effective management of all assigned staff. You will be instrumental in achieving quality outcomes, implementing performance improvement initiatives, and maintaining positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. Your role will also include the oversight of services, as well as the purchasing and maintenance of equipment.


Qualifications

• Education:
  
  
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or a Related Field.
• Experience:
  
  
  • Minimum: 5 years of experience in the discipline or specialty.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  
  
  • Required:
    
    
    • Possession of a current Texas State License for a Registered Nurse (RN).
    • Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire; however, it must be American Heart Association (AHA) BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • Preferred: Specialty or Administration certification is desired.
