A confidential California based plaintiffs-side litigation practice is seeking a junior associate attorney to support a busy civil litigation docket in state and federal courts. This role focuses on consumer and employment class and representative actions, including wage‑and‑hour and related unfair business practice matters. The position offers meaningful responsibility across core litigation tasks, with the opportunity to build strong experience in complex, high‑stakes cases.

THE ROLE

Draft and revise pleadings, written discovery, and discovery responses Support document review, case organization, and litigation timelines on complex matters Research and draft motions, oppositions, replies, and supporting declarations Prepare for hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings Assist with deposition preparation and participate in depositions as needed Collaborate with attorneys and staff to advance case strategy Travel occasionally based on case needs

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location: Confidential Schedule: On‑site, 5 days per week (with limited flexibility) Compensation: Base salary range: $130,000 to $170,000

REQUIREMENTS

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active California Bar admission, or pending admission 1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience Experience with discovery and motion practice Ability to travel occasionally

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

Court appearances and oral advocacy experience Strong legal writing, communication, and client‑facing professionalism Interest in employment law and complex plaintiffs‑side litigation
