QA EngineerApex Systems, a national leader in IT Solutions, is searching for a QA Engineer. This is a long term contract opportunity with the chance to influence healthcare data quality and better patient care through data and analytics solutions. We are targeting strengths in writing SQL queries, datawarehouse experience, and exposure to Python frameworks. Please see below for more details!Responsibilities:Design, develop and maintain data quality assurance framework to test ETL jobs, Informatics reports and Dashboards and other data pipelinesWrite SQL scripts to validate data in the data warehouse against the data in the source systems. Also validate data surfacing in Informatics assets against the data sourcesCoach Informatics and Data teams on data quality best practices and standardsExperience with modern data warehousing conceptsAbility to independently write SQL scripts and other database structures to support data validationFamiliarity with basic Python scripting and cloud EDW environmentsBuilds intelligent test automation frameworks that certifies releases faster with increased test coverageBuilds and automates the appropriate level of test cases to determine if product is ready for productionConducts research to identify tools, automation frameworks and methodologies; drives quality measures to be implementedInfluences change in the development process to ensure quality is built into the product responsibilitiesRequirements:4+ years of Software Quality Assurance experienceAbility to write and run test scripts leveraging SQLUnderstanding and navigation of datawarehouse environments, as well as exposure to Cloud solutionsExposure to ETL, flat file loads, API level testing, IntegrationRequired Skills: Need someone with SQL shops, datawarehousing concepts, can help drive data testing strategy and drive implementations space. Tests in DW and BI space. Thought leadership on data quality. Help with testing at various levels. Part of PI's, sprints, worked with embedded QA folks and DW team.
