Junior Territory Manager

Jr Territory Manager Location: Wilmington Branch | Schedule: Monday-Friday, Salary | Compensation: $40K–$50K/annually Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi and Bryant brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We currently have an opening for a Territory Manager. There is no relocation assistance offered for this position. As aJr. Territory Manager, you will build relationships withHVAC contractorsin your assigned territory by introducing our products/services, staying engaging with customers, and growing new accounts over time. This is acustomer-facing, outside sales rolethat includescold calling—so personality, confidence, and the ability to connect with people are key.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JR TERRITORY MANAGER:

Successfully complete the Homans Associates Jr Territory Manager training program. Cold call and prospect HVAC contractorsto introduce our company and services/products. Build and maintain a target account listusing available resources (directories, internet research, trade shows, etc.). Travel the assigned territoryto meet with customers in person and follow up on leads. Engage customers through friendly, confident conversations, ask questions, listen to needs, and earn trust. Support sales conversationsby assisting with product/service recommendations based on what the customer needs. Quote and help process orders/contractsin line with company procedures (with coaching and oversight as needed). Track leads and opportunities in theCRM/database, ensuring accurate notes and follow-up dates. Follow up consistentlywith prospects to convert interested accounts into active customers. Help address customer questions and concerns (customer service mindset), escalating issues when appropriate. Participate intrade shows and local eventswhen scheduled to grow visibility and lead flow. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE JR TERRITORY MANAGER:

Strong outgoing personality and genuine interest in engaging with people. Comfortable with cold calling and initiating conversations with contractors. 3+ yearsof experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, or a people-focused role (HVAC experience isnot required—sales attitude is). Willingness to learn: open-minded and coachable, with a desire to build a long-term career in sales. Ability to work independently in the field and manage priorities. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS OF JR TERRITORY MANAGER:

Beginner to intermediate ability withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Comfortable using basic online tools, email, and CRM/data entry systems. Ability to learn company systems and processes quickly.
