Restaurant Manager

We are searching for hospitality-driven professionals dedicated to consistency, high standards, creativity, critical thinking, and a desire to achieve daily excellence.

To be successful in this role you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker while ensuring profitability as you help grow our company. The salary range is based on prior experience.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including food service, food quality control and customer service.

-Keeping customers happy, getting their feedback on the experience and presenting solutions to any negative experience.

-Recruiting, interviewing and training staff to follow restaurant procedures.
- Manage and lead a team of staff members, providing training, guidance, and support as needed.

-Prepare weekly staff schedules, keeping track of employees' hours and approving payroll.
- Ensure efficient inventory management and control to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Uphold high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service quality.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain a smooth operation.

-Ordering needed supplies as needed to ensure proper service standards.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe dining environment.

-Manage Liquor, Beer &Wine Inventory, purchase and cost control.

-Manage Restaurant's Payroll

-Actively participate in different meetings as needed for the successful operation of the restaurant.

-Manage our Hotel In Room Dining experience

REQUIREMENTS

La Colombe d'Or received designation as an official Texas Historical Landmark in 1989.Originally known as the Fondren Mansion, it was designed by noted Texas architect Alfred C Finn an was built in 1923 for the family of Walter Fondren, one of the founders of Humble Oil Company which went on to become Exxon Mobil. The impressive structure was built to reflect the Prairie Vie Style and reflects the wealth and influence of it's original owner. In 1980, Steve Zimmerman converted the former Fondren Mansion to La Colombe d'Or with six suites and a restaurant. It became a unique hospitality experience for guests traveling to the city of Houston and locals seeking an elevated ambiance and excellent service for four decades. in 2019 La Colombe d'Or began a complete renovation of the Mansion as as the addition of the Residences at la Colombe d'Or Tower which added 18 sleek and contemporary guest suites, in addition o the renovation of 9 adjacent courtyard bungalows, forming a total of 32 rooms & suites.
