Job Description
The Cleanroom Assembler performs precise mechanical and electrical assembly of complex electromechanical products in a cleanroom, bench-style environment. This role follows detailed prints and drawings on a computer, uses a variety of hand and power tools, and relies on quality inspection instruments to ensure all assemblies meet strict tolerance requirements. You will work toward daily build quantity goals while contributing to high-reliability products used in advanced applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of full electromechanical builds at a bench station in a cleanroom environment.
- Follow detailed prints and assembly drawings accessed via computer to complete builds accurately and consistently.
- Work toward assigned product and daily build quantity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Use mechanical fasteners such as screws, bolts, framing, and housings to assemble components.
- Lay in wires and make electrical connections according to specifications and drawings.
- Utilize hand and power tools, including impact drivers, manual and electric screwdrivers, and T-handle Allen wrenches, to perform assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret both metric and standard tape measures to verify dimensions during assembly.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges to check build tolerances.
- Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet tolerance requirements down to .03 micron where applicable.
- Work as part of a cleanroom team to build complex electro-mechanical assemblies, microchips for medical applications, and custom machined components.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all cleanroom procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and support optional overtime needs when available.
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of technical assembly experience with full electromechanical builds.
- 3–5 years of experience reading and working from assembly drawings and prints.
- 3–5 years of experience using hand and power tools, including impact drivers, manual and electric screwdrivers, and T-handle Allen wrenches (ball head and flat head).
- 3–5 years of experience reading both metric and standard tape measures.
- 3–5 years of experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- Experience using height gauges, thread gauges, or similar quality inspection instruments.
- Ability to work with and verify tolerances down to .03 micron.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and prints on a computer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background in cleanroom manufacturing or assembly of complex electro-mechanical products.
- Experience supporting production for applications such as robotics, medical microchips, or custom machined components.
- Comfort working with quality inspection instruments and measurement tools in a production environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team of 14–16 people.
- Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and meeting production goals.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
