Senior General Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of litigation experience in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic record and excellent credentials. Duties Study Constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances to determine case ramifications. Represent clients in court or before government agencies. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. Confer with colleagues to establish and verify legal proceedings bases. Evaluate findings and develop strategies for case presentations. Advise clients on business transactions, claim liability, and legal rights. Examine legal data to assess lawsuit advisability. Gather evidence through client and witness interviews. Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals. Select jurors, argue motions, and question witnesses during trials. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries. Present evidence in criminal or civil litigation. Perform administrative and management functions related to law practice. Prepare and draft legal documents. Examine public and legal records to write opinions or establish ownership. Act as agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals. Requirements 4-7 years of litigation experience. Strong academic record and excellent credentials. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in legal research and case management. Ability to work collaboratively with a team. Retirement savings plan. Paid time off and holidays.
