We're looking for hardworking, dependable Prep Cooks who thrive in a. fast-paced & HIGH VOLUME, kitchen and understand that preparation is the foundation of every successful service. This role is perfect for someone who wants to sharpen their culinary skills while working alongside talented chefs in a high-energy environment.
What You'll Do- Follow daily prep lists and priorities established by the culinary team.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning products.
- Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks, including sauces, stocks, and other kitchen preparations.
- Prepare salads, appetizers, and other menu components.
- Label, organize, rotate, and stock all food items properly.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed.
- Support the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Previous prep cook experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen.
- Italian cuisine experience, preferred
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and instructions.
- Comfortable using knives, kitchen equipment, and food preparation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.
- Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
