Laboratory Technician
This is a 13-week contract position.
3x12-hour shifts weekly, including Days and Evenings.
The Laboratory Technician performs assigned analyses and reports results according to the procedures and regulations of the department. This role includes maintaining quality control, ensuring equipment is kept up to standards as per instructions and schedules. The technician correlates laboratory results with clinical findings through chart review and consultations with nursing and medical staff. Additionally, the technician will perform receptionist and phlebotomist tasks while ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.
- Perform laboratory analyses and report results as per departmental protocols.
- Ensure quality control measures are maintained.
- Maintain laboratory equipment according to established guidelines.
- Correlate lab results with clinical findings through collaboration.
- Carry out receptionist and phlebotomy tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and policies in healthcare provision.
