Immediate opening for full time CNC Machine Operator (1st Shift)

Position Description

Day Machine Systems is looking for a hard working individual with the desire to run complex manufacturing operations.

 

CNC Setup/Operator

Responsibilities:

1. Setup/Operate Lathes
2. Procure all tooling required for the setup
3. Prove out new programs
4. Discuss with engineering possible changes to reduce cycle time, tool wear, burrs etc.
5. Complete first piece inspection prior to sending part to quality for FAI
6. Obtain all proper gaging required to inspect dimensions
7. Use blueprints to ensure proper dimensions on finished parts.
8. Troubleshoot CNC malfunctions and alert proper personnel when necessary.
9. Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers etc.

When time cycle permits individuals may be asked to run multiple machines per day.

Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers etc.
• 5 years minimum experience running CNC Lathes
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs when necessary.
• A desire to learn.
