A&P Mechanic

Primary Purpose of the Position This position works as a team member performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Corporate and General Aviation aircraft. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. Essential Functions Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies. Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries. Follow all policies and procedures. Keep a clean and orderly work environment. Perform job duties in a safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Airframe and Power plant (A&P) Certificate 2 or more years of General Aviation and / or Corporate aircraft maintenance experience Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals. Possess adequate tools. Valid driver's license with good driving record. Preferred Qualifications: Avionics experience. Work Hours Your work week would be Monday through Friday: 8-430 PM As a condition of your employment, you will be required to participate in the AOG / On Call program. You will receive training to perform Airline On-call maintenance. The duration is for 7 days. Callout pay plus your hourly rate of pay as required by state law will be provided for Call Out work. Reports to : Director, Maintenance FLSA Status : This position is nonexempt. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels and oils. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Travel : This position may require minimal travel. Physical Requirements : Must be able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. May be required to work nights and weekends. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
