Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Concord, CA (Onsite)
Pay Range: $25 to $28 per hour
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm

We are actively seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join a fast-paced, detail-driven organization. In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting compliance and reporting requirements. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles using ADP Workforce Now with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Validate timesheets, approvals, and supporting documentation before final submission
- Update employee data including pay rates, deductions, classifications, and project allocations within the system
- Prepare certified payroll reports and ensure adherence to prevailing wage and contract regulations
- Track project-specific wage requirements and ensure correct pay applications across roles and sites
- Assist with payroll-related reconciliations, including general ledger tie-outs and reporting accuracy
- Support handling of garnishments, retroactive adjustments, and other payroll changes under guidance
- Maintain organized payroll records to ensure audit readiness and compliance
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism, escalating complex concerns as needed
- Participate in payroll audits, reporting, and special projects as assigned
To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Bring
- 1+ year of experience in payroll, accounting support, or an administrative role with similar responsibilities
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform
- Basic understanding of payroll processes including earnings, overtime, deductions, and taxes
- Familiarity with prevailing wage or certified payroll reporting is highly valued
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including spreadsheet navigation and reporting
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
