In this role, you will promote nutritional care through correction and modification of menus, diet order sheets and effective departmental communications.Responsibilities:You will prepare and deliver diet information to tray assembly, production, and delivery personnelYou will update all diet information for patient rooms as received from nursing unitsYou will assist the patient to make menu decisions that reflect a healthy well-balanced diet within the parameters of the patients' dietary prescriptionRequirements:High school graduate or equivalentCurrent Washington State Food Handlers CardExcellent written, and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work in a team environmentMaintain professional demeanor at all times including but not limited to the phone and diet officeA high level of attention to detail and an ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong understanding of therapeutic dietsStrong working knowledge of computers and computer programsBasic understanding of office equipment and proceduresProvide a high level of customer service while assisting the patientAbout Yakima Memorial HospitalMultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital has served the Yakima Valley since 1950. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $20.46 - $27.63 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
