Developing our people is critical to our strategy and fostering our culture of empowerment.A Tool Technician has a high level of expertise and ability to diagnose and repair a variety of power tools and equipment.Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00/hourWhat You Will DoDiagnose and make repairs on pneumatic tools such as power nailers & staplers.Disassemble tools and use testing devices to identify problems.Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products.Use technical manuals to determine required replacement parts and assemble tools based on manufacturer's guidelines.Track time and materials as required for each repair job.Prepare paperwork and keep stock of repair parts.Operate all equipment in safe and responsible manner.Train entry-level technicians on proper techniques and methods.Receive threaded mechanical fasteners ensuring correct item, price and quantity shipped.Deliver products to customers.Manage inventory stock for customers which includes recording inventory needed for replenishment, reporting to buyer items needed for order, deliver stock and restocking product as per customer request.Provide quality customer service.Attend all training to learn new technology.Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise.Required For All JobsPerform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.Adhere to Company's commitment to workplace safety.Participate in and complete assigned trainings.Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Experience Qualifications1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing power tools required.Combination of power tool repair training from a vocational school required.Skills and AbilitiesGood mechanical skills and understanding of schematics and diagramsMust be computer literate, organized and accurateOccasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust have knowledge of threaded mechanical fastenersAbility to work overtime as neededUS LBM Holdings, LLC, is an equal-opportunity employer.
