z/OS Networking Administrator

Hiring for z/OS Networking administrator role.
Durham, NC (or remote, if very qualified)
- Experience with TCP/IP layer 3 networking protocols including: IPv6, IPv4, ICMP, TLS, IPSec. C/C++ (or similar procedural programming languages).
- Experience developing TCP/IP networking code, especially at the stack level.
- Deep knowledge of the IPv6 protocol, including its header format, routing mechanisms and auto-configuration capabilities.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting IETF RFCs and other standards specifications documents.
- Willingness to learn and develop in a proprietary language and development environment.
- Preferred experience developing software on z/OS. Preferred experience using Linux.
z/OS networking roles include:
- Network administrator tasks derived from the needs of the organization
- Fully-featured communications server with integration of SNA and TCP/IP protocols
- Mainframe-based networks with technology choices
- z/OS Communications Server Network Security with roles and objectives
