Job Title: Commercial Plumbing Project Manager

Job Description

Lead commercial plumbing projects from initial startup through final completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. This role oversees multiple fast-paced tenant improvement projects, coordinating field activities, managing project documentation, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders across commercial construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage awarded commercial plumbing projects from startup through completion, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate project schedules, material deliveries, and manpower to ensure efficient execution of work.
• Track job costs, labor hours, and production metrics to support accurate budgeting and cost control.
• Use Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, and other project management software to organize, track, and report project progress.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide installation and field work.
• Manage submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and change orders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Attend job site meetings and coordination meetings with project stakeholders to align schedules and resolve issues.
• Maintain strong communication with general contractors, owners, and field crews to keep all parties informed.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, remain within budget, and meet established quality standards and performance expectations.
• Support and coordinate HVAC and plumbing installation activities as part of broader commercial construction workflows.
• Monitor construction progress on indoor and outdoor job sites and address field challenges promptly.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial plumbing.
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and project management software such as Procore.
• Experience tracking job costs, labor, and production within commercial construction environments.
• Comfortable managing multiple fast-paced tenant improvement projects simultaneously.
• Ability to manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with general contractors, owners, and field crews.
• Ability to attend and contribute effectively to job site and coordination meetings.
• Capability to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Trimble or similar construction and layout technology is a plus.
• Experience in construction management and project management within commercial environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools beyond Excel for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of HVAC and installation practices in commercial construction settings.
• Ability to work across multiple indoor and outdoor job sites and adapt to changing field conditions.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily on commercial construction job sites that include both indoor and outdoor environments. Work involves regular visits to active project locations, coordination with field crews, and participation in on-site meetings with project stakeholders. You will use tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office, and other construction management software to plan, track, and document work. The environment is fast-paced and project-driven, requiring flexibility to manage multiple tenant improvement projects and adapt to varying site conditions.

This is a Permanent position based out of Covina, CA.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
