The physician will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while focusing on advanced non-invasive diagnostic imaging and disease management.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular disease.Interpret and perform advanced cardiac imaging studies, including:Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE)Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)Stress EchocardiographyCardiac CT/CTACardiac MRINuclear Cardiology studies (if applicable)Participate in cardiovascular imaging program development and quality initiatives.Collaborate closely with Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Advanced Practice Providers.Provide inpatient consultation and outpatient follow-up care.Participate in call coverage as determined by the practice.Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.Support teaching, mentoring, and research activities when available.QualificationsRequiredMD or DO from an accredited medical school.Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure.Demonstrated proficiency in echocardiography and general non-invasive cardiology.PreferredAdvanced Imaging Fellowship training.Level II or Level III training in Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, Echocardiography, or Nuclear Cardiology.Experience with multimodality cardiac imaging.Interest in program development, clinical leadership, or research.Practice EnvironmentEstablished cardiovascular program with multidisciplinary support.Access to advanced imaging technology and dedicated imaging staff.Strong referral network and collaborative physician group.APP support in both outpatient and inpatient settings.Compensation & BenefitsHighly Competitive Salary and wRVU-based incentivesSign on BonusEducation Loan AssistanceEpic EMRComprehensive Benefits401K with employer contributionQuality, Service, and ReputationPiedmont Heart is a nationally recognized destination for high-quality cardiovascular care, committed to bringing both advanced medical care and a personal focus to our patients for the best outcomes.
