With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. And neither are our people.The JobThis role will report to: The Director of EngineeringThe Hotel Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance and operation of resort facilities, equipment, and building systems. This hands-on role supervises engineering team members, manages work orders, supports preventive maintenance programs, and helps ensure a safe and exceptional guest experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise Engineering team members and daily operations.Manage work orders and preventive maintenance programs.Diagnose and repair building, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and equipment maintenance.Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.Conduct safety inspections and support special projects.QualificationsExperience in general building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.Basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to use power and hand tools safely.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Open availability, including weekends and holidays.PreferredHVAC and refrigeration experience.EPA 608 Certification.Experience with painting, drywall, copper pipe soldering, and pool maintenance.Prior hotel or resort engineering supervisory experience.When joining our team as a Hotel Maintenance Supervisor you will be offered:Pay Range of $25 - $27.72Potential for overtime, compensated per California regulations.Health Benefits Package - Medical/Dental/Vision/EAPPaid Holidays/Personal/Vacation/Sick timeMeal provided every shift - save an extra $10/dayTravel discounts at partner Noble House Hotels around the countryCareer advancement opportunitiesPay before Payday!Great travel discounts at hotels across CA and throughout the USNationwide discount program (including theme parks, MLB, NFL, and concert tickets)If you enjoy being a part of a team, providing an excellent experience for our guests, and meeting new people, we invite you to apply.At Kona Kai San Diego, we take pride in supporting our initiatives towards Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility.
