Job Opportunity: Cardiologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, focusing on an academic career path. This recruitment is part of our ongoing expansion within the Cardiovascular Division, specifically for a critical care cardiologist.

The Cardiovascular Division has established a strong regional and national presence in both cardiovascular clinical care and research. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the leadership of the Cardiovascular Division and the Lillehei Heart Institute to further the clinical and academic objectives of our institution.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Cardiology/Critical Care.
• Board eligible or certified in both Cardiology and Critical Care Cardiology.
• Possession or ability to obtain a medical license and DEA registration in the State of Minnesota, meeting all necessary criteria for credentialing and privileges.
• Eligibility to receive work authorization in the United States from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, maintaining legal status as per VISA requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is jointly employed by our organization and the University. The total salary is competitive and aligned with AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical compensation, which corresponds to clinical responsibilities, is provided through our organization. The base salary range for this role is between $379,000 and $677,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and clinical full-time equivalent (cFTE). The salary from the University will be determined based on the academic contributions of the individual hired.
