Outpatient Therapist - Salem

Responsibilities

Branches Salem is looking for our next Outpatient Program Therapist to join our team!

The Outpatient Program Therapist is responsible for planning and coordinating activities related to discharge planning. Developing and implementing a plan of care designed to meet the patient's post hospitalization needs while ensuring continuity of care.

The Outpatient Program Therapist carries a caseload of 20 PHP/IOP patients. They run group therapy for 20 hours per week and meet individually with clients on their caseload. Individual meetings with patients will take place for various reasons, including treatment planning, aftercare planning, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent is required.

Experience: Preferred: 1+ years in behavioral health. Experience in group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.

Licensure: Clinical licensure (i.e. LPC, LCSW, LMFT) is preferred.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services program that serves adults facing an acute behavioral health crisis related to issues of mental health, substance abuse and substance use disorder, as well as co-occurring disorders related to these circumstances.
