Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference by providing vital psychological services to students in a supportive and collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled School Psychologists with experience working with children from PreK to 8th grade. In this role, you will support one elementary school in the region and work part-time hours, Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm, making it an excellent fit for those seeking a balanced schedule. Both on-site and VOCO (virtual/remote) arrangements are considered.

Qualifications:

Valid Louisiana DOE School Psychologist credential required
Previous experience supporting PreK-8 populations in a school setting
Familiarity with administering assessments and developing intervention plans
Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
Completion of district background check and fingerprinting prior to start
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
Collaborate with educators and caregivers to develop and implement intervention plans
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide recommendations for student success
Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
Offer counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district requirements
