Job Summary The Global Training Leader will develop and implement training strategies that address the learning needs of our production organization, ensuring alignment with short‑term and long‑term objectives. This role manages all training related needs for production associates and key support areas, leading a global team of trainers and coordinating initiatives with production, engineering, and quality teams. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop training team, supervisors, and facilitators globally. Support the hiring process for new production employees, discussing timing and headcount needs with production managers and supervisors. Collaborate with hiring managers, contracting firms, and talent acquisition teams to align training with workforce requirements. Define and trend training effectiveness using KPIs, feedback, and performance metrics; present reports to senior leadership. Coordinate production training and hiring improvement initiatives across functions. Develop and manage the training department budget, optimizing trainer utilization and training resources. Manage training budgets, resources, and vendor relationships. Partner with other functions to develop and execute supervisor training programs for production, logistics, and quality inspection leaders. Benchmark external solutions to enhance training processes and technology. Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production teams to develop training solutions that support yield improvement and scrap reduction. Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decisions. Experience and Education BS in engineering, business, or talent development; MBA or MS desired. 10 years of related work experience in manufacturing or training, with at least 5 years of leadership experience. Medical device industry experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to translate SOPs and technical processes into effective training. Proficiency in providing positive and constructive feedback, coaching, mentoring, and individual development. Excellent communication skills, conveying ideas and information clearly and effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of SAP desired. Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.
