Automation Engineer (Siemens Step7 PLC)

Job Description

Technical Source is currently in search of a PLC Automation Engineer for an engineering firm that services the pharmaceutical industry in North Carolina. This specific role will support Life Science clients in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. It is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for conversion to full-time after 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities of the PLC Automation Engineer include:

Program, Troubleshoot, and Modify Siemens Step7 PLCs
Support CQV Activities for Automated Process Equipment and Utilities
Manage Automation Change Controls for PLC, HMI, and Validated Control Systems
Review and Approve Validation Documentation using KNEAT or similar platforms
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications of the PLC Automation Engineer include:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
5+ Years of Experience Designing/Programming Siemens Control Systems
Extensive Experience with DeltaV
History of Working in a Pharmaceutical Environment
