Job Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards and scope of practice relevant to the state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by employing established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to overall departmental success.

• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers. Ensures timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions. Simplifies complex medical terminology for better understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Prepares them for future self-management.
• Implements evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to meet and surpass quality benchmarks, enhancing the exceptional care provided to patients.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to manage the quality of care, coordinating, evaluating, customizing, and delivering a holistic treatment plan that fosters recovery.

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Completion of a Registered Nurse Diploma.
• This is a full-time NIGHT position in the ICU.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU setting is required.
