13-Week Travel ICU RN Assignment

Facility: Trident Medical Center
Location: North Charleston, SC
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Pay Package (36 Hours)

• Weekly Gross: Up to $2,462.16
• Taxable Pay: $22.00/hour
• Weekly Stipend: $1,670.16  

Unit Details

• 28-bed Mixed ICU
• Patient ratios: 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 for ICU/PCU holds)
• EMR: Meditech
• Travelers float to the PCU or ED to care for ICU/PCU hold patients, if needed.

Patient Population & Experience

This unit provides exposure to a wide range of high-acuity patients and procedures, including:

• Ventilator management
• Fresh CABG (Post-op Day 0)
• CRRT
• Impella
• Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
• Swan-Ganz catheters
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Neuro ICU patients (EVDs, ICP monitoring, induced hypothermia)
• Head and neck flap patients

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• At least 1 year of recent ICU experience
• Comfortable managing ventilated ICU patients
• Able to independently interpret telemetry rhythms
• Current BLS, ACLS , and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
