Medical Laboratory Scientist

Medical Lab Scientist We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Lab Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures that are essential for patient care. You will work in a dynamic environment where your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate and timely test results. Responsibilities Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem‑solving. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. Assist with processing of specimens when needed. Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory CLIA State requirements. 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience. State Medical Technologist license is a plus. ASCP or AMT certification preferred. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Proficient with computers. High level of attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs. Work Environment You will work in a laboratory setting that prioritizes safety and proper use of personal protective equipment. Hours: 1st week of training 7a-3:30p M‑F; 2nd and 3rd week 6a-2:30p Tu‑Sat; permanent schedule after training will be 10p‑6:30am W‑Sun. Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $39.50/hr.
