Server | $3 per hour + commission| Free employee meals & parking | Excellent employee amenities | Excellent benefits inc. 401(k) The A La Carte Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to members and guests throughout the Club's dining venues, ranging from fine dining to casual and family-oriented environments. This role requires a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to service excellence. A thorough and continually developing knowledge of food, beverage, and club offerings is essential to providing personalized service and creating memorable experiences for the membership. Duties and Responsibilities Complete all opening, running and closing duties accurately and efficiently Set-up dining areas and patio according to anticipated member counts and club standards Welcome, greet and seat members as needed Present menus in a timely fashion and confidently communicate daily specials and featured items from the kitchen and bars Make recommendations and suggest food, wine, cocktails, and specialty pairings to enhance the dining experience Accurately record confirmed Member orders and input them in a timely fashion correctly into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system Coordinate effectively with culinary and beverage teams to ensure accurate and timely service Serve the membership according to the ROCC A la Carte Steps of Service and established Club standards Maintain and organize all tables and front of house areas throughout service Ensure member charges are properly and accurately recorded Organize and restock all service areas as per running and side duties Assist with the set up and breakdown of buffets and events as needed Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications Maintain a current TABC and Texas Food Handler Certification At least 3 years’ experience in upscale dining, private club, hospitality, restaurant, or resort service preferred Extensive knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits, and service etiquette Experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events Personal Characteristics Able to work well without direct supervision Aware, astute and pro-active Cool under pressure; You listen and think before reacting You follow the ROCC steps of service with the Member’s best experience in mind You are dedicated to exceeding Member and team expectations Behaves in the spirit of proactive and genuine hospitality and service The Club and Our Benefits: We offer excellent benefits for full-time positions including: Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) Matching & Safe Harbor Contributions Group/Voluntary Life Insurance Paid Time Off Short and Long Term Disability Annual Christmas Bonus* Employee Meals* Complimentary Parking* Employee Scholarship Program* (*benefits available to all current employees) Founded in 1923, River Oaks Country Club is considered among the nation’s premier private clubs and is ranked number 56 of the Top 100 Golf and Country Clubs globally by Platinum Clubs of the World.
