Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 36

· Patient Ratios : 4-6:1

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 unit secretary and 3-4 PCAs

· Type of equipment : Vitals machines, heart monitors, chest tubes, LVADs, dopplers, temporary pacers

· Documentation system: Meditech

· Scheduling requirements: 3 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

· Floating policy: Travelers float first but in turn with each other

· Patient Experience requirements: Hourly safety rounds, bedside shift report, sit and speak with patients about their care.

Post open heart stepdown recovery, s/p cath and EP procedures, BIPAP, and high flow oxygen.

Must have : Proficiency in interpreting rhythms, head to toe assessments, ACLS, BLS
