Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nights (Forest, Virginia)
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) role supports critically ill newborns within a Neonatal Critical Care Unit. Responsibilities include providing advanced respiratory care with mechanical ventilation, including high frequency ventilators, and supporting neonatal procedures and recovery needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM7:00 AM), three (3) 12-hour shifts, every other weekend; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: CPR certification; neonatal phlebotomy; experience in a level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or greater; mechanical ventilation experience including high frequency ventilators (jet or oscillator); Minimum of 3 years in mechanical ventilation including high frequency ventilators (jet or oscillator)
• Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal surgical recovery experience
• Additional Information: JTC Neonatal Certification is required. Responsibilities may include care related to mechanical ventilation and neonatal procedures such as circumcision, PDA ligation, chest tube placement, ROP care, and total body cooling. Unit documentation is primarily completed in CPN (with Meditech as a secondary system).
