Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

Echocardiographic Technologist
Works under the direction of the supervisor/director, cardiologist, in the performance of standard and complex echocardiography including stress echo, TEE, and vascular testing. Utilizes established protocols for the purpose of assisting the cardiologist in the diagnosis of cardiac malfunctions, malformations, and abnormalities. Adheres to KHI's Behavioral Expectations Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uses professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes.
- Selects the most appropriate and cost-effective action plan after reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient's abilities and condition. Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to patients' size and condition, depth of field, and other specifications of exam.
- Coordinates and participates in a variety of duties involved in the operation of echocardiography equipment to obtain and record two-dimensional images.
