Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Home Health

Location: Manatee County and South Hillsborough, Florida

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 17:00)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with home health experience to provide skilled therapy interventions in patient homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dysphasia management, patient safety, and patient/family education, and be capable of evaluating patients using appropriate tools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage dysphasia cases and implement aural rehabilitation techniques.
• Develop and execute functional maintenance programs tailored to patients' needs.
• Provide in-service training and education for patients and families.
• Utilize evaluation tools such as BIMS (Brief Interview for Mental Status) and depression screening protocols.
• Maintain accurate billing and documentation of services provided.
• Conduct a minimum of 6 skilled home visits per day, adhering to management's guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, specifically in home health care.
• Valid state license and BLS certification required.
• CCC-SLP certification is mandatory.
• OASIS training preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.
• COVID vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered). Flu shot or declination required.
