Assistant Project Engineer (2027 Summer Intern)The primary function of the Assistant Project Engineer is to assist the project team with some of the administrative and engineering functions associated with a particular construction project.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical SkillsAssist with job office set upAssist the project team with the initial set up of CMiC, i.e. Submittal Log RegistryPrepare and maintain Submittal LogsAssist the project team with the initial set up of PlanGrid to organize the contract documents for the teams useAssist the project team with managing progress photo documentation via utilizing PlanGridAssist in entering RFI's in CMiC and the distribution to appropriate project team membersPrepare and maintain RFI Logs in CMiCAssist in posting RFI's to Contract Documents and maintaining the accuracy of the projects as-builtsAssist with updating the Material Procurement Log and assist with expediting the procurement of all materials / equipmentWork with the projects PE(s), SPE(s) and APM(s) to compile contract close out documents (O&M manuals, As-Builts, etc.)Attend project meetings and assist in the preparation / distribution of meeting minutesAssist in the creation and organization of all closeout bindersAssist the project team with meeting minutes as neededManagement SkillsAssist with the procurement of close out submittalsAssist in the preparation and distribution of punch lists and weekly maintenance in PlanGridAssist the Superintendent(s) with the maintenance of schedulesAssist in the procurement of all front-end SubmittalsAssist in the Material Procurement process. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear and stand throughout the workday. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. These are considered the core responsibilities of the position.
