Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with orthopedic experience to join a fast-paced unit. Nurses are responsible for managing the care of orthopedic, neuro spine, and post-surgical patients, focusing on effective pain management and patient outcomes.
Monitor patient conditions, administer medication, and manage pain effectively.
Provide care for orthopedic, neuro spine, and surgical patients.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic charting system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Float to other med-surg units as required to meet staffing needs.
Manage patient ratios of 5-7:1, adjusting as necessary based on census.
Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience.
BCLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
Valid RN license; NC or Compact license pending acceptance.
Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
Prior charge nurse experience and trauma level exposure are preferred.
