Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM); weekend coverage required (Friday nights count as weekends); local candidates preferred

Highlights:

• Teaching hospital ICU setting with 10 beds and an average daily census of 7 patients
• Responding clinician role – no procedures required (no intubations, lines, vents, or invasive procedures)
• Electronic Medical Records managed through Epic
• Supervise 4 Advanced Practice Providers during day shifts; collaborative rounding with attending physicians
• Standard ICU and medical-surgical patient population; adult patients only
• Overtime available at premium rates; holiday pay at 1.4x regular rate

Requirements:

• Physician Assistant (PA) certification with active or ability to obtain Massachusetts state license
• Board Certification in Acute Care required
• Minimum 2+ years of critical care/ICU experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Active DEA registration required
• Note: Only Physician Assistants will be considered due to state licensing timeframes (3–5 weeks for PAs vs. 8–12 weeks for NPs)
