Position Overview- Specialty: Interventional Radiology
- Setting: General Acute Care Hospital
- Coverage Needed Due To: Radiologist Resignation
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Volume: Approximately 50 studies/day and 4-6 procedures/day
- July 27-31
- October 2
- November 30-December 4
- December 21-25
- Active California Medical License
- California Fluoroscopy Permit
- BLS Certification
- DEA Registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
- Completed Radiology Residency
- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology coverage
- Stroke CT interpretation
- Diagnostic imaging interpretation
- Inpatient and emergency imaging coverage
- Potential outpatient imaging coverage, including:
- Contrast CT supervision
- MRI supervision
- Breast biopsies
- Lumbar punctures
- Barium studies
- CT-guided biopsies
- Ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Various centesis procedures with drain placement
- Thoracentesis
- Paracentesis
- Nephrostomy tube placement
- Intra-abdominal abscess drainage
- Chest tube placement
- Suprapubic catheter placement
- Thyroid
- Lung
- Other image-guided biopsies
- Total: Approximately 50 studies/day
- CT: 12-15/day
- X-Ray: 15-20/day
- Ultrasound: 8-12/day
- 4-6 IR procedures/day
- Primarily non-complex IR:
- Biopsies
- Drain placements
- Aspirations
- Occasional tunneled procedures:
- Pleural catheter placement
- Central venous access
- ED Volume: 85-90 patients/day
- Average Inpatient/Observation Census: Approximately 50 patients/day
