SAP Data Migration Lead

Job Description: Role:- SAP Data Migration Lead- Carve out- Aerospace domain Location:- Wichita, KS JD We are seeking an expert SAP Data Migration Lead for a business carveout project. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading both active "open" transactions and historical "closed" status records directly back into the target SAP or other environment. The ideal candidate possesses deep structural knowledge of SAP FI, CO, and PS, and can confidently guide business and functional teams through SD and MM data dependencies during a carveout project. Key Responsibilities Carveout Data Strategy: Define and execute the end-to-end data migration scope and strategy to isolate, extract, and reload specific company code data (both open items and historical closed records). Closed-Status Loading Strategy: Design specific migration approaches to successfully load historical, closed-status data into the target system without violating accounting integrity or triggering standard system workflow validations. Cross-Module Guidance: Provide support to other functional and technical team members to map, validate, and sign off on data structures across FI, CO, and PS, as well as core integrations in SD and MM. Data Quality: Oversee complex data filtering rules to ensure only the carved-out entity's data is migrated, managing data cleansing and transformation rules using ETL tools or custom routines. Data validation and Reconciliation: Establish a rigorous reconciliation framework to ensure that migrated open items, historical balances, and closed project finances perfectly tie back to the legacy system for audit compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience in SAP Data Migration, with proven experience leading data tracks for SAP Carveouts or company code splits. Handling Closed Historical Data: Demonstrated experience successfully loading historical data into a live SAP or other target environment and migration of open items. Core SAP Module Expertise: Deep understanding of data structures and tables within SAP FI (GL, AP, AR), CO (CCA, PCA), and Project Systems (PS - WBS elements, project structures, and historical cost allocations). Cross-Module Familiarity: Ability to guide the other functional or technical teams through master and transactional data objects in Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) as they relate to financial and project data. Migration Toolsets: Proficiency with SAP LSMW or specialized carveout data tools. Preferred Qualifications SQL or ABAP programming skills to review or optimize custom extraction logic, routines, and data transformation scripts. #J-18808-Ljbffr Algebra IT
