About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: 2 years strongly preferred License: State or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge Must-Have: Scrub experience preferred Willingness to work on-call shifts and weekends Description: This position is for an OR RN. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts during the day from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. On-call availability is required up to four shifts every four weeks. The nurse may need to work one weekend shift every four weeks. Holiday work is also required during specific holiday periods. Experience in scrubbing is strongly preferred. The facility requires nurses to float within scope to meet unit needs. The nursing team consists of registered nurses and certified surgical technologists. RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. This is a dynamic and busy department that provides cutting-edge technology. The facility is a Level I trauma center and a teaching facility. The nursing team is committed to providing high-quality care. Candidates should be adaptable and ready to meet the demands of a busy operating room setting. Travelers should be aware of potential emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
