Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Available
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Reports To: PRP Program Director / Clinical Director
About the Position
Life’s Energy Wellness Center, Inc. (LEWC Inc.) is seeking a motivated and experienced PRP Coordinator / Family & Community Liaison to support the daily operations and quality of our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP).
This position plays a key role in coordinating rehabilitative services, supporting PRP staff, and strengthening communication among participants, families, schools, behavioral health providers, and community partners. The Coordinator will help ensure services are delivered in a client-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and compliant manner.
The ideal candidate is an organized and compassionate leader who understands psychiatric rehabilitation and can effectively balance staff supervision, family engagement, documentation, compliance, community coordination, and direct client support .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the PRP program and promote timely, high-quality, client-centered services.
- Supervise Rehabilitation Specialists and other assigned program support staff.
- Conduct regular staff supervision, coaching, performance monitoring, and evaluations.
- Monitor caseloads, service delivery hours, attendance, and staff-to-client ratios.
- Review clinical and rehabilitative documentation for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance.
- Monitor Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs), progress notes, attendance records, service documentation, and outcome measures.
- Review and approve treatment plans and service notes in the electronic health record (EHR), as assigned.
- Support compliance with applicable Maryland behavioral health regulations, Medicaid requirements, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other behavioral health professionals to promote coordinated care.
- Serve as a liaison between LEWC Inc., participants, families, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
- Respond appropriately to participant and family concerns, service barriers, and emerging crises.
- Facilitate family engagement and help connect participants with appropriate community resources.
- Coordinate staff orientation, training, continuing education, and professional development.
- Participate in chart audits, quality assurance activities, CARF accreditation activities, compliance reviews, and corrective action planning.
- Track and report program metrics, service utilization, billing eligibility, and participant outcomes to leadership.
- Identify service gaps and recommend strategies for improving program quality and participant outcomes.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and staffing decisions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable federal and Maryland regulations.
- Provide community-based support and direct services when clinically/programmatically appropriate.
- Perform other duties consistent with the needs of the PRP program and organization.
Family & Community Liaison Responsibilities
- Develop positive working relationships with families and caregivers.
- Assist families in navigating behavioral health and community resources.
- Promote communication and collaboration among families, schools, providers, and community partners.
- Participate in school and community meetings when appropriate.
- Assist with referrals and connections to housing, educational, vocational, healthcare, social service, and other community resources.
- Promote participant engagement, self-advocacy, independence, and successful community integration.
- Help identify barriers affecting participation and coordinate appropriate supports.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a PRP, psychiatric rehabilitation, behavioral health, case management, or mental health setting .
- At least 1 year of supervisory, coordination, or leadership experience preferred/required based on assigned responsibilities.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Required Credentials
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of required background checks and employment clearances.
- PRP-related certification or training preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and behavioral health services.
- Familiarity with Maryland COMAR behavioral health regulations , particularly COMAR 10.63.
- Understanding of Medicaid documentation and billing requirements.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centered care.
- Understanding of psychiatric disorders and behavioral health needs.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and staff development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
- Strong problem-solving, crisis management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, families, and communities.
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Work Environment

The position may require local travel between program sites and within the community.

Full-Time Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
