Income Maintenance Supervisor III Adult Medicaid Organizing and Directing Assign, balance, and monitor workloads to ensure efficient unit operations and timely case processing. Collaborate with agency leadership, supervisors, and program administrators to develop procedures and improve operational efficiency. Conduct regular employee conferences to discuss performance, provide coaching, and address performance concerns. Assist with case processing and application reviews as needed to support workflow demands. Ensure staff complete required administrative duties, including documentation, timesheets, case records, and timely communication with clients. Attend training and meetings to remain current on federal and state policy changes and communicate updates to staff. Represent the agency and provide information to the community regarding available programs and services. Program Planning and Management Develop and implement short- and long-range operational goals, priorities, and strategies for the unit. Monitor workloads and performance metrics to ensure program objectives and service standards are achieved. Respond to client concerns, resolve escalated case issues, and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution. Identify staff training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities. Assess staffing, equipment, and resource needs and provide recommendations and budget justifications to leadership. Review and Monitoring Conduct quality assurance reviews and evaluate case accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with program requirements. Analyze error trends, identify training needs, and develop corrective action plans to improve performance. Monitor adherence to federal, state, county, and agency standards. Review hearing requests and hearing summaries, conduct local hearings, and ensure timely submission of decisions and documentation. Personnel Functions Provide coaching, counseling, and guidance regarding performance expectations, workplace policies, and grievance procedures. Participate in disciplinary actions and make recommendations regarding employee performance, promotions, reassignments, and other personnel matters. Complete employee performance evaluations and provide recommendations related to merit increases and professional development. Additional Responsibilities Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement and team morale. Participate in special projects, presentations, community outreach efforts, and other assignments as directed. Support continuous improvement initiatives and organizational goals. Knowledge and Skills Thorough knowledge of Medicaid, Long-Term Care, Special Assistance, and related public assistance programs. Strong understanding of public assistance policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements. Considerable knowledge of agency programs, community resources, and services available to clients. Working knowledge of budgeting, workforce planning, and resource management. Knowledge of supervisory principles, employee development, and performance management. Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills. Ability to train, coach, supervise, and evaluate staff effectively. Ability to analyze regulations, policies, and procedures and apply them consistently. Strong verbal and written communication skills with staff, leadership, public officials, community partners, and clients. Ability to assess operational needs and develop strategic plans to improve program outcomes and service delivery. Preferred Experience Two (2) years of experience working with Adult Medicaid eligibility determination and case management.
