MIG/TIG Welder - $34/Hour

Join a leading manufacturing team building refrigeration units, equipment housings, structural frames, and custom metal assemblies. We're looking for experienced MIG/TIG Welders who can work from blueprints and produce high-quality welds on stainless steel and aluminum components used in commercial cooling and transportation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel
• Weld refrigeration casings, equipment enclosures, structural frames, brackets, supports, and sheet metal assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Layout, fit-up, tack, and weld components to specification
• Assemble large mechanical frames and housings prior to welding
• Inspect welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy
• Operate grinders, saws, drills, and fabrication equipment
• Work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to complete custom builds
• Maintain a safe and organized work area

Qualifications

• Strong MIG and TIG welding experience required
• Experience welding both aluminum and stainless steel
• Ability to read blueprints and weld drawings independently
• Experience building frames, enclosures, casings, cabinets, refrigeration equipment, trailers, truck bodies, or similar fabricated products
• Strong fabrication, fit-up, and measuring skills
• Experience using tape measures, squares, levels, and layout tools
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce clean cosmetic welds
• Welding school or certification preferred but not required

Must have hands-on MIG and TIG welding experience on aluminum and stainless steel, be comfortable reading blueprints, and have experience fabricating and welding large frames, casings, enclosures, or similar industrial products.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, MN.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

They offer great benefits - Medical - Dental - Vision - Pension offer - $2.05/hr. and fantastic benefits. The pension is vested once you work there for 5 years. - 2 raises every year. One annually and one every August. The raises are anywhere from $.40 - $.60. They are having a union negotiation later this year to hopefully increase the raises. - They are offering up to 10 hours of OT during the Mon-Fri Week. At times they are offering OT on Saturday and Sunday. Double time pay if you work on Sunday.
