As part of NSU Health's Optometry clinics, you'll help ensure accurate payment processing for patient services while supporting one of South Florida's leading academic healthcare organizations. You'll work alongside a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding service. What You'll Do As a Medical Payment Posting Specialist, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our patient accounts by accurately posting and reconciling payments from insurance carriers, patients, and other payers. In this role, you will: Accurately post insurance payments, patient payments, adjustments, and other financial transactions. Match payments to outstanding claims and ensure proper adjudication. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and posting errors. Reconcile payment activity and maintain accurate financial records. Generate payment and reconciliation reports for leadership. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and healthcare regulations. Collaborate with teammates to improve payment posting processes and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about accuracy. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in: Medical accounts receivable Medical payment posting (manual and electronic) Insurance payment remittance processing OR Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience. Preferred Experience Experience with electronic health record (EHR) or claims management systems such as Epic, NextGen, or similar platforms. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payment processes. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
