Production Operator II

Overview Production Operator II – Niagara Bottling, Lancaster. Responsible for day‑to‑day operations on the production line, including starting, stopping, and minor adjustments to equipment such as palletizers, carton makers, and injection machines. Ensures product quality, safety, and efficient throughput while maintaining quality logs and supporting maintenance and quality teams. Essential Functions Maintain production line equipment, perform minor adjustments as directed. Accurately complete and update machine, quality, downtime, and carton top load reports. Identify unsafe conditions, follow safety rules and use protective equipment. Maintain housekeeping and waste materials (bale plastic, cardboard, contaminated bottles). Manage raw materials inventory to keep equipment running smoothly. Complete hourly inspection sheets and report quality defects immediately. Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision; perform relief duties. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance. Use computer systems such as Oracle/MES or current order‑management systems. Communicate issues clearly and concisely. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 2+ years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment. 2+ years experience in a similar production position. 0 years experience managing people/projects (training acceptable). Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment. 4+ years experience in a similar production position. 2+ years experience managing people/projects.
