Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your essential duties will include:

• Designing, organizing, and evaluating clinical treatment plans for patients experiencing acute or chronic mental health issues, ensuring alignment with overall health goals.
• Engaging actively in treatment planning and evaluation during staff meetings, contributing insights and recommendations based on clinical expertise.
• Facilitating individual, couple, family, and group outpatient psychotherapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Offering guidance and support to patients and their families regarding treatment adherence, medication management, and therapeutic interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records, including treatment plans, intake summaries, and case notes in compliance with state regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess the necessity for psychiatric medications, providing comprehensive patient screenings.
• Providing supervision to post-master's fellows and associates, fostering professional development and clinical skill enhancement, where applicable.
• Utilizing community resources, including referral networks and government agencies, to address comprehensive treatment needs for clients and their families.
• Participating in ongoing department programs and initiatives aimed at improving client care and departmental effectiveness.
• Responding promptly to safety concerns by notifying mandated reporting agencies when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve adult individuals grappling with various mental health diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. Additionally, you may engage with child and family clients, offering tailored support aimed at enhancing familial relationships and fostering emotional wellness across all age groups.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) at the time of hire.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
