Job Description\n UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Internal Medicine for a job in Madison, Wisconsin.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Internal Medicine\n Discipline: Nurse Practitioner\n Duration: Ongoing\n Employment Type: Staff\n \n \n Work Schedule:\n 80-100% FTE, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No holidays or call.\n Be part of something remarkable\n As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.\n We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to:\n \n Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team.\n Conduct routine physical exams.\n Conduct focused health histories and physical exams of patients with acute and/or chronic health problems.\n Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.\n Establish a working diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.\n Prescribe medications and/or treatment and monitor patient’s response.\n Prescribe and treat within the full scope of primary care\n \n Education:\n \n If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.\n If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.\n \n Licenses and Certifications:\n \n Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure\n \n If Nurse Practitioner*:\n \n Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND\n Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
